For the first time in the history of contemporary art, Thomas Hodges in collaboration with Giuseppe Lepore and Bielle Re Srl, present “Le Tre Grazie”. A modern day portrayal of the three daughters of Zeus, namely; Aglaia, representing splendour; Eufrosine, representing joy and gladness, and Talia, the bearer of prosperity and flowers. Jointly depicted in a multi-racial and multi-cultural context, Le Tre Grazie of Thomas Hodges are destined to become a bench-mark in art history and symbolic of all that is good in mankind and the world as we know and understand it today. A series of works dedicated to world peace, harmony and love amongst mankind. As they were in the beginning so shall they be so today …

WORLD OF FASHION 2014: L’ALTA MODA A ROMA

I’m pleased to be participating in this year’s World of Fashion event, which is integral to Rome’s Alta Moda fashion week. My work “Nishikigoi” will be showing as a unique 5 mt. x 5 mt. backdrop, in addition to it being the first time that this work has shown in Europe.

Workshop – Erotic Photography As A Fine Art

I am pleased to announce that in collaboration with Expo-Arts Global Foundation, I will be hosting a second workshop (the details of the other can be read in the previous blog post), which is a 3 day event, again in the region of Puglia, Italy, but in this case covering the subject matter ”Erotic Photography As A Fine Art”. The workshop will run from 4th to 6th October 2013.

As with the other event, we are offering an all inclusive residential package 3 nights accommodation in a typical Pugliese Masseria (farm house), and will include all food and beverage, enabling the participants to indulge in the gastronomic delights of the region (including the wines).

I Misteri di Venezia ~ the series

I Misteri di Venezia ~ the series

I Misteri di Venezia is a unique series of fine art photographic works, produced in 2006.  There are a total of 50 works in the full series, all of which are to be published into a photographic book, which is scheduled for publication in 2012.  In the book, the images are printed along-side poems, with each poem inspired and written specifically to the image in question.  The entire series and the book publication have been produced as a Charitable effort, with proceeds benefiting the up-keep and maintenance of Venice, Italy.

Each of the 50 works in the total series, is available in a limited edition of 10 (+ 2 a.p.).  These are chromogenic prints, with 3mm dibond mounted to the rear.  Each print measures 50 cm (19.69″) x 40 cm (15.75″).  Each artwork is digitally signed recto and manually signed, numbered and dated verso.  A Certificate of Authenticity is provided.

Solo Exhibition ~ Verona, Italy.

I’m pleased to announce that I have a solo exhibition which is a retrospect of my two award winning artwork series “Romantica” and “Wrapped”.  Opening tomorrow in the Valpolicella town of Lugagnano di Sona (Verona) Italy. Curated by Marino Pinali in association with Galleria Massella, Verona, Italy. Click HERE for additional information in English and HERE for additional information in Italian.

The show will run from 18th February 2011 until the 31st March 2011, with the official inauguration at 6 p.m. Friday, 18th February 2011 (invitation herein-above).  Staged to the music of Italian musician and singer Chantal Bortino accompanied on piano by Russian musician Elena Bruk (Click HERE to read the biographies of both of the latter).

Venus ~ Godess of Love

Venus

“Venus” was shot in March 2006 and released as a series of limited edition artworks in 2007.  The theme is self-explanatory, based on the Roman Goddess of Love, known by the Greeks as Aphrodite.  The series has exhibited in Venice, Italy, along with numerous other venues world-wide.  I have recently conducted an inventory of the series, and the 12 artworks each in a limited edition of 10 (+ 2 a.p.) can be viewed on my website : CLICK HERE .

Artworks are chromogenic prints surface-mounted behind Plexiglas, with 3mm Dibond to the rear.  Each print is signed, numbered and dated on the rear by the artist, and issued with an individual Certificate of Authenticity.  Measuring 120 cm (47.24″) x 90 cm (35.43″).
