The US law firm Davis Polk Wardwell (DPW) have invested in a unique image which they commissioned me to produce earlier this year for their new France HQ, located in the Champs Elysees, Paris. (www.dpw.com/offices/paris.htm)
DPW first arrived in France in 1962, and their very first offices were situated at “La Place de La Concorde”. Upon their recent move to their new France HQ, the management decided that to commemorate the occasion it would be a good idea to commission a photographic artwork depicting the firm’s first corporate base in France. The only guideline given, was that the image should be “artistic” and not resemble a tourist shot of this already very famous location.
This resulted in a series of some 30 images being shot, from which the image entitled “Time and Motion” was selcted. The image in question has been purchased as a unique “one-of-one” artwork. Pinted on Kodak Endura paper behind 6mm plexiglas, using the Diasec procss. The photographic lab responsible for the printing was Paris based Cyclope, and the mounting and framing was carried-out by sister company Deuxiem Oeil, who did an outstanding job (as would be expected), and to which I offer my sincere thanks and appreciation.
The entire “Place de la Concorde” series can be viewed on my website. Aside from “Time and Motion” the other images in the series are also available for purchase. Please contact me if you would like additional information regarding format, series, pricing, etc.
